How To Get JAMB Profile Code For 2021/2022 Registration
Firstly, you need to obtain your 11 digits NIN. For example, if your NIN is 12345678910, send an SMS in this format 12345678910 to 55019.
You will receive a 10 digits profile code on the SIM card you sent it with.
NOTE: The phone number used for the text message is automatically tied to the candidate’s 2021 application, Examination and Admission. CANDIDATES SHOULD NOTE AND ALWAYS REMEMBER THE SIM NUMBER USED, IT IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE FOR SUBSEQUENT COMMUNICATION WITH THE BOARD BY OBTAINING UTME/DE APPLICATION DOCUMENTS, A CANDIDATE CAN RECEIVE TEXT MESSAGES FROM JAMB (55019) EVEN WHEN THE “DO NOT DISTURB” IS ACTIVATED ON THE CANDIDATE SIM.
If you do not receive your JAMB profile code (which you need to get your e-PIN) after a few minutes, Follow the steps below.
TIP 1: Ensure that you use the SIM card that is attached to your NIN to send the SMS i.e send the SMS using the phone number that you used to register for your National Identification Number (NIN).
TIP 2: Ensure you have sufficient airtime on your line. To get your JAMB profile, you need to have at least One Hundred and Fifty Naira (N150) on your SIM card. Receiving JAMB profile code is not free.
So, if you don’t have airtime, make sure you recharge your line and try again.
TIP 3: Ensure your SIM card can send an SMS. The issue with some SIM cards is that they are not configured to send and/or receive SMS.
TIP 4: Ensure that the NIN is correct, and that you are not sending your tracking ID number instead of NIN.
